Homeless and unemployed, Chandini came to us in desperation last year. She felt there were no other options than to abandon her little boy. She was heartbroken. Luckily one of our TFT housemothers decided to introduce her to Mr Percy. We immediately employed Chandini at Ruhunu as a housemother to give her an income and created a mother and baby room to keep them together temporarily until we found a permanent home. TFT supported Chandini through the court process to get Ameesha home, found affordable accommodation, a sewing job and a preschool place at Manacare Foundation. We are now pleased to share the news that Chandini has now reconnected with her husband and the whole family have reunited. We love happy endings and are so pleased they now have their future together.
